We want to tell you a bit about an incredible leadership group that Margery is a part of. Design Trust Ltd (DTL) is a group of top interior design CEOs from around the country who share expertise and best practices with each other throughout the year. Margery’s been a member of the group and attended numerous DTL symposiums around the country. At the conference this past November, she took two of her staffers. What a wonderful learning experience as well as a way to meet interior design professionals from around the country. The premise of these conferences is to provide an open and inviting environment to discuss successes, solutions, and ideas as well as to create a support network of design professionals with varying styles, business models, and specialties.
Kravet graciously hosted us at their Kravet headquarters, and meeting the Kravet family and staff was so amazing. We learned a lot more about what Kravet provides in terms of their design, marketing, sales processes and more.
In addition to the breakout groups, we heard a presentation on new innovative technology that Kravet is introducing as well as a presentation about the Kravet Concierge program which is a great incentive to use Kravet products. Some new technology utilized by Kravet right now is a wallpaper visualizer that is up and running in their headquarters showroom with a rollout to showrooms around the country. If you want to read about our Kravet experience stay tuned for our next blog!

In addition to the Kravet tours, discussions, and lectures, a few Design Trust members and guest speakers gave presentations on a multitude of topics. DTL members spoke on everything from Design industry covid-related issues to successful business practices and goals. One of the members talked about a sourcing trip in Africa that she attended with Bruce MacDonald. This trip seemed so amazing, as it showcases the natural beauty of Africa as well unique artwork and furniture makers to use as sources for design projects.

One speaker provided some insight on our leadership personalities and how to work effectively in our work environments, whereas the other gave us a deep dive into the Smart home world, talking about how to integrate smart technology into our projects on a very high, luxe level.

Apart from the incredible learning experiences, the conference was a great opportunity for the MWI team to mingle with other design professionals from across the country, learning more about the people themselves, as well as the firms that they make up.

Stay Inspired!
