High Point Market for the Fall 2022 was fantastic. With the spring High Point Market just around the corner, we wanted to share some of our favorite finds and information from the fall.
What did we like the most? We enjoyed seeing all the new ideas as well as the reinvented classics. A big highlight is the key arm style that we saw throughout market. It’s a small design detail that has been around forever, but we are loving it and how companies are reinventing this classic element.
Here’s a great example of a more traditional key arm below -a classic style derived from the Greek key motif.

A cool version that we loved was the padded track arm from Universal – this is more like a mixture of the classic square track arm and the key arm. They made it so the padding wraps over the track arm adding to the design while making it more comfortable overall.
Here’s another piece with the padded track arm- showing off the view from the side. The padded detail gives it a softer look that we are loving.
We were also loving this modern take on the key arm on the back of this dining chair by Jonathan Charles. This detail adds the finishing touch to an otherwise standard chair. The way the upholstery just wraps over the wood frame gives it a finished look that is understated yet stunning.
Century reinvented the key arm with this sofa below. How awesome is this design?! They were able to make such a classic style arm into something truly contemporary by simply reversing it! Love love love!
What do you think of these new renditions of the key arm? Are you sticking to the classic or branching out to a new version with a modern touch?
Stay Inspired!
