We previously talked about overall trends from Fall 2022 Market, but we now want to deep dive into the color trends we saw. Color Theory is an extremely powerful tool that designers use to create atmosphere in our environments. Analyzing the color trends from this year’s High Point Market events gives designers an edge in designing fabulous homes that feel just right for today.
1. Neutrals and Nature-Inspired
Neutral tones have always been prevalent, but over the past couple of years, we have seen a definite push towards warm, earthy neutrals, bright yet beautiful terracottas, calming blues, and soothing greens. These colors help connect interior spaces with the environment around them making the spaces inviting, comfortable and cozy.

2. Jewel Tones
On the opposite side of the neutrals, the bold color palettes we were seeing deep and rich jewel tones. We are talking beautiful emeralds, vibrant blues and teals, and stunning purples among others. The jewel tones we are seeing are perfect for creating exciting and glamourous interiors.

3. Historic Hues
More and more we are seeing historic elements in interiors return. Many clients covet older homes and furniture pieces and are learning to love the historic elements in their spaces. Historical colors are also in fashion, and many companies such as Benjamin Moore and Sherwin Williams have specific collections for the historical hues they offer.

4. Black and White
Black and White is classic, and always glamourous. Black and White furniture pieces are in and looking fantastic. Using this classic color scheme helps draw attention to the beautiful details and craftsmanship of these pieces. On a larger scale, we are loving the black-and-white scheme for spaces as well!
