Details, Details, Details! More High Point Market Trends- Fall 2022

Here are some more trends we spotted while at High Point Market this past fall.  One of the main purposes of market for Interior Designers is to look at what the industry is expecting to trend now and in the upcoming years.  Design is constantly evolving, and it’s important to keep our designs fresh and current.

1. Metal

We were seeing a lot of metal elements on all many different furniture types.  The duo-finish/ material is very popular right now on case goods and one of the major elements that is being used to juxtapose wood pieces is metal! A big thing that we are seeing metal being used for is tracery-like design details on furniture pieces.

Jonathan Charles – look at this stunning composition!
Jonathan Charles – Door panels are made of cast metal.
Jonathan Charles – as you can probably tell, we are loving JC’s credenzas!
Jonathan Charles
John-Richard– We love this upholstered headboard with geometric metal detailing.
Century Furniture– this two-tone console is a showstopper with the metal tracery detailing.
Artistica – this is a stunning side table with a metal interior.
2. Natural/ Natural Inspired Materials

Another type of finish/ material that we are saw a ton of is amazing natural or natural inspired materials such as shells, stone, and bone.  In addition to this, many furniture companies are becoming more transparent about where and how they get their materials.  It’s always nice to see that the materials used have been sustainably harvested!

Jonathan Charles– solid travertine coffee table.
Artistica– this table base is so unique and mimics the look of a geode.
Artistica– this is newer material that we saw a lot of. it is actually made of harvested clam shells!
Interlude Home – Natural Travertine Cocktail Tables.
Jonathan Charles – we love this bedroom vignette!  The bed is made of sustainably harvested materials and features a beautiful bone inlay.
Palecek– stunning art pieces made of coco shells.

What is your favorite trend that we mentioned?  Is there anything you are hoping to see next year?  Make sure to check out our previous high point trends posts and stay tuned for more!

Stay Inspired!
