Foxglove Antiques and Galleries in Atlanta, Georgia
I have to tell you about this incredible antiques store in Atlanta, Georgia. It is one of my favorite antiques stores in the country. Shelia Benson is the founder of Foxglove Antiques and Galleries, she started her business in a tiny cottage in the West Village of Buckhead. Many moves and developments later she expanded her store into a 15,000 square foot gallery in Atlanta, GA with over a dozen of curated dealers from around the world. Foxglove Antiques “imports Belgian, English, French, Italian, Spanish and Swedish antiques, accessories, original art, handmade jewelry, and one-of-a-kind lamps and chandeliers.” The “showroom is filled with unique pieces that make it easy to create an individual look that is practical and beautiful.”
We were lucky enough to work with Shelia and feature one of her incredible pieces of furniture in the 2017 D.C. Design House this past month. We featured a Bauhaus-style antique bookcase, which is featured below.
Don’t you love the lines of this incredible bookshelf above? We could not get over it when we first saw it. So grateful to Foxglove for loaning it to us for the DC Design House 2017! You see it here featured in our Living Room space at the show house.
And here are a few more amazing items from the store. Do you love this 19th Century French Starburst Mirror. I absolutely adore this mirror! It could brighten up a space, making the atmosphere feel more inviting.
French Round Rattan Table. This table would look great in a beach house living room.
Italian Regency Painted Settee with Scoop Back. I love the detailing and shape of this piece, would definitely spunk up a room!
Antique Ottoman Empire Raised Silver Metallic Embroidery on Wedgwood Blue Velvet Pillow. This pillow is pretty and elegant.
A few months ago I had the chance to visit the store, above are a few snapshots of my favorite pieces I saw!
