Covetable Outdoor Furniture

Summer is fast approaching and that means spending more time outdoors. And what better way to enjoy the longer days, and balmy evenings, than to create a gorgeous outdoor space on your property.

Outdoor furnishings have come a long way since I was a kid. While I fondly remember dining al fresco on our wooden picnic table with attached bench seating, and lounging around on the folding, webbed-vinyl chaise, the outdoor furniture of my youth seems downright barbaric in comparison to what’s on the market these days.

Many of the options look just like pieces you’d place elsewhere in your home. This upholstered outdoor sofa  from Lane Venture could easily transition to a lower level space, or sunroom, in the off-season.

If you prefer a more traditional “outdoor” aesthetic, we recommend selecting a teak, rattan, or wicker frame, with cozy cushions, upholstered in fun indoor/outdoor textiles like these.

Add contrasting outdoor pillows, throw blankets, and outdoor lighting to your seating space to make it even more inviting. These finishing touches allow you to enjoy your outdoor living space, even after the sun goes down.

Outdoor dining furniture has also come a long way in the last (ahem….) 30-something years.

Not only are the options far more stylish, but they’re much more comfortable, allowing you and your guests to linger over meals and sip refreshing beverages well into the evening.

And what summer is complete without some good, old-fashioned lounging? We are loving these pieces from Janus et Cie and Dedon.

Who wouldn’t love to spend the afternoon in one of those spaces?! There are so many gorgeous options for enjoying the great outdoors, in a wide variety of styles and budgets. If you need help making your summer dreams a reality, contact our office. We would be delighted to help!
